Domenico Criscito: Genoa Could Have Won 6-0

Genoa defender Domenico Criscito expressed his delight for the magnificent performance of his team during the 3-0 win against Sampdoria on Saturday evening.

This derby win was very important for them to remain in touch with the top teams as both squads are currently enjoying a top five position.

"We played great, transforming on the pitch a work perfectly done during the week," declared the former Juventus player to Sky.

"We could have also won 5-0 or 6-0, there wouldn't have been anything strange. Winning this game was not easy.

"[Angelo] Palombo's reaction? I know him from the national team and I must say that he's an exceptional lad. It's normal to get nervous when you're losing the derby 3-0 and [Raffaele] Palladino could have avoided that gesture, even though his performance was beautiful."

Thanks to this win Genoa have temporarily climbed into fifth place in the standings, with 23 points from 14 games played, just one point behind Sampdoria.
