Chelsea's Joe Cole Believes He Knows The Secret To Beating Arsenal

Joe Cole is confident Chelsea will get chances to score against Arsenal on Sunday, due to the way the north London team play.

Chelsea sit at the top of the Premier League ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal but Cole, back playing after a long lay off through injury, believes the pressure is on the home side when Chelsea go to the Emirates Stadium for the derby match.

“The pressure is on them, no doubt about that with the gap, and getting a win there is a major result,” Cole told the club’s official website.

“We have beaten Liverpool, Man United and Tottenham, so if we can beat Arsenal it is a fantastic start against the big clubs, followed by Man City and Everton, so the lads are excited.

“We haven't been in this position for a long time and do not want to let it slip. Everyone is dropping points, but Arsenal will be a threat on Sunday of course, they always are.”

While many have come up short against Arsene Wenger’s team at their home ground, Cole believes he knows how to defeat their London rivals.

He added: “The secret to beating Arsenal is to be tactically strong and very concentrated.

“You know you will get chances because of the way they play, so if you can limit them and take your chances you will win the game.

“They could be without Gallas, Gibbs, van Persie is a big miss for them, and Bendtner had a good start to the season as well, so they do have a few out, but we had some missing last week and coped with it well, so I am sure they'll be alright, as we have been.”
