Messi, Suarez & Neymar MORE influential than Ronaldo, Bale & Benzema

Barcelona have ended 2015 in style by breaking Real Madrid's record for the most goals scored in a calendar year.

Madrid set a new milestone under Carlo Ancelotti as they finished 2014 with 178 goals in all competitions.

But Barcelona's 4-0 win over Real Betis means that they have ended 2015 with 180 goals.

As for who has been the more influential out of the two attacking trios, Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez have scored 137 of Barcelona's 180 goals in 2015 - 76%

For Madrid in 2014, 108 goals combined from Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema were 61% of their total.

Wednesday evening was also another milestone for Messi as he made his 500th appearance for Barcelona and scored his 425th goal in all competitions.

Suarez also struck twice in the 4-0 win over Sociedad and actually ends the year as the highest scorer in La Liga, if you exclude penalties.
