'Even Man City don't have the money!' - Schalke rule out Leroy Sane sale

Schalke general manager Horst Heldt has dismissed Manchester City's chances of signing Leroy Sane this January.

The Premier League side are one of many admirers of the 19-year-old, who has scored four Bundesliga goals so far this season, and have been linked with a big-money bid in the upcoming winter transfer window.

But Heldt says all of the youngsters' suitors will be left disappointed next month, and that even big-spending City do not have the funds it would require to tempt the club into a sale.

"We don't want to sell him and Leroy doesn't want to leave the club," he told Bild. "Even Man City haven't got that much money!"

City boss Manuel Pellegrini also played down the chances of any significant January business in his latest press conference on Friday afternoon.

The Blues have also been linked with a move for out-of-favour Real Madrid forward Isco, but while Pellegrini would not rule out any deals out of hand, he insists he there is nobody in particular on his radar.

"No, really I think the squad is complete," he told reporters. "As always, I said that we are not going to close the window but we are not really thinking of any special players to bring in."
