Speculation has been rife that Pellegrini will be replaced by Pep Guardiola at the end of the season, although the manager himself insists that his relationship with the squad means that the ongoing rumours will have no bearing on their pursuit of silverware.
And Caballero, who also worked with Pellegrini at Malaga, says the way he speaks to the playing staff and how he sets out his training sessions helps to keep everybody onside.
"I can talk about what he's offered me," he told Goal. "It seems that it's key how he treats the player and how he speaks to them. What he demands of them and how he tries to convince the player so they can interpret his style of play.
"With that it's possible to play at your best. I also believe that his way of playing is very good and at the same time very simple. The players that he coaches like the way they are supposed to play, they feel confident with that idea.
