Carlo Ancelotti Ponders Long Stay With Chelsea

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has stated his intention to stay at Stamford Bridge for many years to come.

The Blues are in formidable form and currently top the Premier League table, five points clear of current title holders Manchester United.

Ancelotti, who arrived in London during the summer, is now eyeing a legacy with the club, hoping for success on all fronts.

"My objective is to maintain and keep this position for a long time and I can do this if I do a good job and if the club is happy about the job I'm doing," Ancelotti said, according to Sky Sports.

"Up to now, the club is happy with the job I've done I think.

"I want to continue and improve, if possible. To maintain the club's position at the top of the Premiership and doing well in the Champions League."

Chelsea face Arsenal on Sunday, and Ancelotti noted the achievements of Gunners manager Arsene Wenger as something he wishes to emulate.

He added: "Wenger is one of the best coaches in the world and has done a fantastic job like Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. My objective is to stay here a long time.

"I'm a young head coach. I am an Italian coach. For an Italian coach, it's very difficult to think about staying at one club more than five years.

"I stayed at Milan for eight years and, for an Italian coach, that was a record. In England it's easier to stay at a club for a long time."
