The Argentina international has voiced his ambition to win trophies again with the Milanese side as they prepare for the 2011-12 campaign
Inter skipper Javier Zanetti has has stated that the Giuseppe Meazza side want to challenge for silverware in every competition they are involved in next season.
The 2010 Champions League winners relinquished their Serie A title last term to city rivals AC Milan, but Zanetti is confident that Inter are ready to challenge again with the arrival of coach Gian Piero Gasperini and several new players.
"I know we have a new coach and we have signed some important players. Next season will certainly be a challenge and our targets will be the same as usual: we'll try to win everything we're involved in," Zanetti said to Sky Sport Italia.
The Argentina international, who is currently competing at the Copa America in his homeland, then discussed Leonardo's recent exit and subsequent link to a directorial post at Paris Saint-Germain, before adding that he's looking forward to working with his replacement, Gasperini.
"I know Leonardo very well, and I know about his ideas. He was very clear with us and with the president when this opportunity [at PSG] arose for him and he made a personal choice," the 37-year-old added.
"Now we are looking forward to a new challenge with Gasperini and hopefully we'll be able to raise a few more important trophies."
