The Argentine ace's agent has confirmed talks with Corinthians and admitted that a return to the Brazilian side is a possibility
Carlos Tevez's agent, Kia Joorabchian, has confirmed talks with Corinthians and revealed his client wants to return to the Brazilian club.
Earlier on Monday, a representative from Corinthians revealed the club had initiated talks to re-sign the striker, who spent three years at the Estadio do Pacaembu before moving to Europe.
Corinthians are keen on offering Tevez a one-year loan spell, and Joorabchian has refused to rule out the move.
"Negotiations have begun. Corinthians have got in touch and we are looking at the possibility," the agent has told ESPN Brazil.
"Tevez likes Brazil a lot and he wants to play for Corinthians again, but I cannot say for sure that it will happen."
Last month, Tevez issued a statement saying he wanted to leave the club as he wished to be closer to his two daughters, who live in Buenos Aires.
The Argentina international, who signed for Manchester City in 2009, played at Corinthians from 2004 to 2006, becoming a fan favourite at the club having scored 46 goals in 76 appearances.
The Brazilian club are in a race against time to land the striker as they can only do so until 20 July, when the local transfer window closes, and they know the player is focused on his national team duties at Copa America.
